In-Person Meeting – What to Know Before You Arrive
In preparation for attending a Faculty Council meeting, please review the information below to help you plan your visit and make the most of your experience.
Location & Access
- Meeting Room: Room 208, Convocation Hall
- Building Access: Convocation Hall is locked. Please use the main entrance located on the quad and ring the bell for entry.
- Check-In Table: Lisa Parker will be available to greet and assist attendees.
- Faculty Council members should pick up their tent card upon arrival.
- Visitors should have their Emory ID available for check-in.
Timing
- The space opens at 2:30 PM to allow time for check-in and settling in.
- The meeting will begin promptly at 3:00 PM.
Facilities
- Restrooms and a water fountain are located to the right upon entering the building.
- A hot and cold-water refill station is available, so feel free to bring a reusable water bottle.
- Room 208 is located to the left.
After the Meeting
- Please return your tent cards to the check-in table before you leave.
What to Bring
- Emory ID – May be required for building access and check-in.
- Photo Release Form – Meetings are recorded and may include photography. Please be sure you have completed the form and emailed your completed form to universitysenate@emory.edu.
- Presenters using presentations must submit slides the Friday before the meeting date.
During the Meeting
- Use the microphones when speaking to ensure clear audio for recordings and remote attendees.
- The meeting will be recorded for transparency and archival purposes.
Refreshments
- Drinks and light bites will be provided.
Hybrid Access
- A webinar link will be available for faculty audience viewing.
- In-person attendance is required for Faculty Council members.
